The property

This beautifully restored cottage is on the site of an old mill, re-built using the original stone in the late 1960’s. It is situated just above sea level at the east end of Llanddona beach, Red Wharf Bay. The area is quiet and secluded with only a handful of properties near the beach.

With unique sea views and well-equipped accommodation, this cosy Anglesey cottage makes a great year-round base. It is best summed up with the three C’s, cosy, comfortable and close (to the sea!).

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, the latter having an en-suite loo and wash basin (ideal for young children). The kitchen is well equipped and the main living room/ dining room has a stunning view over the beach. The main room is heated by an integrated wood burner, very cosy on a chilly Autumn evening!

The shower room has been recently re-fitted and has an electric shower and heated towel rail. The bedrooms are heated by slimline electric heaters.

RED WHARF BAY- Llanddona end.

Beaumaris 4 miles.

Red Wharf Bay runs along the north eastern shore of the Isle of Anglesey, it’s Welsh name of Traeth Coch (Red Beach) is apt as the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow, and at low tide reveals a vast expanse of sand which is perfect for family fun, fishing and miles of stunning, scenic walks. The large bay and salt marsh attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin.

Only 4 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris, which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely architecture, housing excellent shops, olde-worlde pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. The view of the Snowdonia mountains is absolutely stunning and brings back holiday makers year after year. This is a beautiful location on the north east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey.
